Two central figures face each other and join hands, their bodies built from flowing, overlapping shapes of rust, mustard and deep brown. Around them, smaller figures, a rounded tree and clusters of pointed leaves grow out of the same curving forms.

The surface looks like thick impasto, with each colour area edged by a raised cream contour line. The earthy palette of terracotta, gold and cream is cooled by patches of sage green and slate blue, giving a warm, bohemian rhythm across the whole canvas.
