About this work
Several full hydrangea heads in shades of denim and periwinkle blue spread across a cream, linen-textured ground. Each small four-petaled floret has a pale center, and the dense clusters are joined by large green leaves with visible veins.
Slender brown stems curve and cross between the blooms. The directional thread strokes in the petals and leaves give the pattern a rich, handmade textile feel.
