Hands reach in from every side of the frame toward a central glass that is being filled from a tilted bottle. Each wrist is dressed differently: a chunky knit cuff, a wristwatch, a beaded bracelet, a patterned sleeve and a crisp shirt cuff.

The drawing is all fine black linework and cross-hatching on an off-white ground. The shading gives the glasses and fabric texture, and the empty space around them keeps the scene light and open.
