A large bank of sunset-lit cumulus clouds fills the upper two-thirds of the frame above a low horizon, with calm open water below. A bright, blurred sun-glare reflection pools on the surface and recedes toward the hazy horizon.

The soft dusk or dawn glow is rendered in dusty coral, cream and terracotta. Palette-knife work builds high-relief ridges in the clouds and the reflection, while the sky passages stay smoother and the water carries more directional strokes.
