About this work
An abstracted mountain range stretches across the canvas, built from overlapping ridgelines with a hazy sky above and textured foothills below. There is no single focal point; the planes recede through layered strokes rather than true perspective.
The light is soft and overcast, and the palette runs through dove grey taupe, blush terracotta, burnt rust and muted ochre. Clouds are loosely blended and soft-focus, while thick palette-knife strokes and dry-brush ridges give the mountains and foreground a dense, weathered texture.
