Eight kites sail up a diagonal across a blue sky. They are painted in sage green, dusty pink, slate blue and charcoal with burnt orange. Each one carries small painted blossoms, and long ribbon tails trail behind them.

The clouds are laid on in thick, creamy strokes of white and pale blue. The frayed, worn edges of the canvas give it the look of a much-handled keepsake. The mood is light and playful, and the muted colours keep it gentle.
