Five ghost figures draped in flowing white sheets sit shoulder to shoulder on a rustic wooden bench, each topped with a weathered wide-brimmed cowboy hat. Their faces are nothing more than soft dark oval eye holes, while worn cowboy boots and denim-like trousers peek out from beneath the hems, a quietly humorous touch.

Behind them, a sun-faded, cracked plaster wall carries a gentle warm glow. Loose brushwork and soft impasto in the fabric folds let the edges of the sheets dissolve into the background, in a muted palette of ivory, tan, terracotta and umber.
