Looking up through a dense forest canopy, arching branches converge from both sides toward a luminous, hazy clearing at the center. There is no horizon, only layers of foliage that fall into deep shadow at the edges and open into a soft glowing depth, where a misty path recedes into golden haze.

The paint is thick and expressive: heavy dabs build the foliage over visible canvas weave, while fine dark linear strokes trace the branches. Dappled, diffused backlight gives the woodland a moody, enveloping and quietly dramatic atmosphere in tones of bronze, ochre and olive.
