About this work
A narrow village alley lined with warm terracotta and ochre buildings recedes diagonally along a cobblestone street toward a small gap of sky and a cluster of distant shuttered buildings. On the left, an arched doorway with a sage-green door and a small house-number plaque sits beneath a flowering vine, flanked by terracotta pots of olive trees and greenery.
A wrought-iron wall lamp, balconies with potted plants, and a vintage cream scooter beside a small bistro table and chairs fill the street with quiet detail. Soft, warm daylight, loose watercolor bleeds and fine ink outlines on textured paper give the scene a nostalgic, romantic, sun-warmed calm.
