About this work
Rhythmic looping lines and dense hatched patches fill the sheet in diagonal bands. Black strokes dominate, with fainter grey loops between them and accents of oxblood red, forest green and mustard yellow.
The paper is the colour of aged cream, and the waxy crayon texture is visible in the heavier marks. The composition reads like handwriting with no words, energetic but controlled.
