About this work
A quiet winter street of tall, narrow townhouses in brick red, sage green and tan, with a stone church tower at one end and frosted fir trees tucked between the buildings. Snow caps every roof, and small amber windows give the scene its only glow.
Everything is built from tiny visible cross stitches on a beige Aida weave, with a wide, empty sky of stitched snowflakes above. The palette is dusty and muted, giving the piece a handmade, nostalgic warmth like a treasured holiday sampler.
