A rugged, pitted asteroid fills the lower left of the frame. Its grey surface is scarred with deep craters and thin veins of pale mineral. Behind it, hundreds of smaller rocks scatter into the darkness, shrinking with distance.

The light is low and directional, with a faint glow at the upper right edge. It picks out the rough texture of the stone and leaves the rest of the scene in deep shadow. The mood is quiet, cinematic and a little ominous.
