About this work
Two loosely blended color fields meet along a soft diagonal curve: cool blue-teal washes fill the left and lower portion, while warm sand and ivory tones rise in the upper right. Touches of muted rust add warmth to the palette.
Thin, translucent glazes bleed and pool as if the pigment had been washed and left to settle, over a visible canvas weave. A cluster of dry-brush vertical white striations near the lower center-right suggests rain, light or drapery folds. The effect is serene, airy and contemplative.
