Four white ghosts stand side by side against a flat, inky navy ground. The first leans forward with a windswept sheet trailing behind it. The other three stand upright, and two of them raise their arms as if waving.

The sheets are built from translucent white and pale gray brushstrokes, and the folds show the dry bristle marks of the paint. Each ghost has the same pair of glossy black oval eyes. The result is playful and quiet, with plenty of dark space around the figures.
