About this work
A single line of conifers marches across a creamy white canvas, each tree built from thick, layered strokes of green paint that overlap like scales. Pale sage trees alternate with deeper forest-green ones, all standing on small brown trunks.
The white ground is troweled and scraped into ridges, so snow and sky merge into one calm, sculptural surface. The restrained composition and limited palette make it quiet and graphic.
