Loose, palette-knife wildflowers in coral and ochre stand in the foreground of a meadow. Fine scratched stems and dark slate-blue leaves rise among them, and tall grasses lean in from the right. Flecks and splatters of paint are scattered across the scene.

Behind the flowers the meadow dissolves into a pale, foggy haze of sage, grey and cream, with the soft shapes of distant trees. Fine cracks and rough patches across the surface make it look like aged plaster or old canvas. The mood is quiet, faded and gently nostalgic.
