About this work
An abstract horizon divides the canvas, with roughly two-thirds given to a hazy pale sky and a heavy, dark mass of olive and deep moss green below. The layers are built from overlapping horizontal color blocks, so the space reads as flat and quiet rather than deep.
Thick, squared-off palette-knife strokes and semi-opaque washes sit on visible canvas grain, softening into warm ivory and fog beige in the upper field. Thin vertical drips bleed down from the dark mass under soft, diffused light, giving the minimalist landscape a serene, contemplative mood.
