About this work
A young olive tree grows from a worn, cream-glazed pot on a deep window ledge. Its slender branches carry narrow leaves in grey-green and deep olive. The leaves are laid in with quick, confident strokes.
The plaster walls are built up in thick, scraped paint that reads as fine cracks and soft ridges. Light comes from the window at the right and washes the whole corner in warm ivory. The mood is calm and quiet.
