About this work
Cosmos-like blooms in dusty blue, muted rose and cream rise on thin stems among delphinium spires and feathery grasses. Each petal is a raised dab of paint with visible ridges.
The background is a cool wash of lavender, grey and pale blue, with sage-green strokes at the base. The overall effect is calm, muted and tactile.
