An anthropomorphic pumpkin pie with a wedge-shaped, Pac-Man-style mouth gives chase to a startled cartoon turkey, which runs with feathers fanned and beak open in alarm. Small crumbs trail behind the pie, and autumn maple leaves drift in the upper corner and litter the ground.

The two figures stand on a shallow ground plane with soft contact shadows against a flat, textured backdrop, leaving open space in the upper right. Heavy palette-knife impasto shows in the scalloped crust and feather clumps, and a fine crackle across the background gives an aged-canvas feel, all in cream, pumpkin orange and maple red.
