A dense, cheerful stack of wrapped presents fills the scene, their papers patterned with snowflakes, little trees, berry sprigs, polka dots and stripes in blush pink, dusty red, sage and forest green.

Big satin bows in pink and green crown each box, tucked with pine, red holly berries and pinecones, while glossy baubles rest along the soft ivory ground. Loose gouache-like brushwork and chalky, streaky texture give it a cozy, nostalgic storybook warmth.
