About this work
Five stockings hang from a thin ink string, each clipped with a wooden clothespin and a tiny evergreen sprig. One is pink plaid, one olive stripes, and the rest wear polka dots in blush, beige and taupe, with raspberry and ochre accents on their cuffs, heels and fringed toes.
Below them, a casual hand-lettered "Happy Holidays" in antique gold sits on a warm cream ground. Soft gouache and watercolor fills, fine ink linework and a faint paper grain give the scene a matte, handmade, Scandi-boho calm.
