Seven peaked-roof folk houses stand shoulder to shoulder along a low hill, with one oversized dusty-orange moon rising behind the tallest house at the center. Small rounded ghosts wander the path, black cats sit near a few front doors, pumpkins cluster at the doorsteps and wreaths hang on several doors, while bare, spindly trees and a split-rail fence frame the village.

Every shape is outlined in visible hand stitching, giving roofs, moon, stars and branches a raised, quilted edge. Patchwork fabric patterns of plaid, floral calico and check cover the houses, set on a coarse linen-like ground. Warm amber windows glow against a flat dark sky, for a handmade, gently spooky scene.
