Glossy red strawberries with tiny pale seeds hang among broad green leaves. Between them are white flowers with yellow centres. The plants rise from dark, slate-blue stems against a soft pink background.

The paint is built up in thick, sculptural ridges, so each leaf and petal looks almost carved. The background is cracked and scraped like old plaster. The sweet red, green and pink palette makes the picture cheerful and handmade-looking.
