A close-up portrait of a smiling Santa Claus, his rosy cheeks and warm eyes framed by a fur-trimmed hat and a cloud of curling white beard. The drawing is left deliberately loose, with the beard dissolving into swirling pen lines and blank paper.

Fine cross-hatching and softly smudged shading give the face its gentle volume, all in a muted palette of charcoal ink on creamy, dusty parchment. It reads like a page from an old storybook sketchbook, quiet, nostalgic and warm.
