A wild rabbit sits alert in a flowering meadow, its ears raised and one dark eye turned toward the light. Tawny browns and soft greys are laid down in broad, confident strokes of paint.

Around it, tall spikes of pink, coral and butter-yellow blossoms rise against a hazy lavender and powder-blue background. The palette stays soft and chalky, which gives the scene a gentle, dreamlike calm.
