Large cream magnolia flowers fill the canvas, their petals shaped from single sweeps of thick paint. Small golden stamens at the centres add the only touch of warmth. Sage and olive leaves weave between the blooms.

The paint stands up from the surface in ridges and smooth, flat planes, so the petals look almost sculpted. The palette stays soft and neutral, in creams, greens and muted gold.
