Three rosy-cheeked children skate hard across a frozen pond, sticks out and scarves streaming behind them as they chase a black puck. Bare winter trees, snowy rolling hills and two small dark pines frame the scene beneath a pale parchment sky.

The piece reads like an antique children's book plate: fine ink linework, soft gouache-like color fills and a gentle paper grain, finished with a hand-drawn red crayon border. The palette stays muted and dusty, with cream, frosted blue-green ice, faded brick red and terracotta, for a playful, nostalgic winter mood.
