A worn, burgundy-red antique sleigh with curled scrollwork runners sits alone on a bare studio floor, a freshly cut fir tree laid diagonally across its seat and a small stack of kraft-wrapped gifts tied with deep velvet ribbon beside it.

Soft, low-key light falls across a cracked plaster wall in dusty taupe, and the chipped paint on the sleigh shows warm copper wood beneath. Painted in a traditional oil style with gentle brush strokes, the scene feels quiet, nostalgic and gallery-like rather than festive and bright.
