A reindeer with a full set of antlers bends its head to the snow, nosing at the ground. Fine pencil lines define its legs, face and antlers, and soft shading gives its coat its weight and texture.

Behind it, spruce trees and low shrubs fade into a pale mist. The sketch sits on warm, aged-looking paper with darker edges, like a page from an old naturalist's notebook.
