A small figure in a simple white ghost costume, with two plain oval eyes, stands slightly left of center in a meadow of tall golden grass and white daisies. A woven wicker basket overflowing with more daisies is held at the figure's front.

Behind, a distant tree line glows in rust, amber and olive beneath a pale, hazy sky. Soft, overcast light and thick palette-knife strokes over visible canvas grain give the scene a muted, nostalgic, quietly folk-art feel.
