A ginger tabby cat is asleep with its head resting on a striped cushion, one white paw tucked forward and its banded tail curling along the sofa. The fur is laid in short, ridged strokes of paint that catch the light like real hair.

Deep bottle-green upholstery, cream stripes and a row of brass studs along the sofa arm frame the cat in a warm, quiet glow. The mood is drowsy and contented, like an afternoon nap in a lamplit room.
