About this work
A wide, quiet bay curves between a dark, pine-covered headland and a low shrubby bank, its pale water catching thin threads of warm light along the shore. Far across the lake, a hazy town and low hills dissolve into the mist.
The upper half of the picture is left to a soft peach sky, mottled and dry-brushed like thin paint dragged over rough linen. Muted slate blues and dusty apricot keep the mood still, hushed and gently melancholic.
In the painting

“I love it !!!! The colors are gorgeous and it looks amazing on my 50" Samung Frame TV. It really looks like a painting. The artist did an excellent job of making the picture look like it has texture and using colors that look soft like a painting instead of a picture.”
