A small stone cottage with a snow-covered roof sits in the middle of a hollow between rolling hills. Its windows glow a warm orange against the cold blue-grey of the snow and the dark clouds. Bare trees and dry grasses poke through the drifts around it.

The brushwork is loose and the tones are dark. Fine scratches and cracks across the surface make it look like an aged canvas. It feels like a lonely and cosy winter evening.
