A winter path runs through a quiet forest. An adult in dark clothing walks away from us and pulls a small child on a wooden sled. Farther along, a lone skier crosses the track.

Pale birch trunks stand on the left and heavy, snow-dusted spruce fill the right, all under a soft grey sky. The snow is laid on in thick, buttery knife strokes of cream and pearl grey, so the ground has a sculpted texture.
