About this work
Seen from high above, small groups of golfers in caps, knickerbockers and sweaters spread across a mottled green course. Each group stands near a white pennant flag, and some are lining up putts while others chat.
The figures are tiny against the grass, which fills the frame in soft, uneven patches of olive and moss. Their muted red, mustard and blue clothes are the only colour accents. The look is a textured poster illustration, and the mood is relaxed and a little humorous.
